The Center for Chinese Studies welcomes applications
from scholars in the China field throughout the world for
Visiting Research Scholar status at this center. These honorary
affiliates are chosen on the strength of their research projects,
and the ability of the faculty or library resources on the
campus of the University of Michigan to support their research
needs. The length of stay varies according to each scholar,
and generally falls within the range of six weeks to one year.
Visiting Research Scholars must submit a detailed research
proposal in English, and are expected to complete the project
they originally proposed. They are an integral part of the
Center's intellectual community. These scholars are granted
basic access to the university library system, the computing
centers, limited photocopy and mailing privileges, and shared
office space, if available. |
